Opening
Lawrence Brewster founded Kingdom Advisors International, LLC with a very specific calling in mind. He works with CEOs and business owners to make certain that their business, professional and life purpose aligns with God’s purpose. We are instructed that God works around each of us to will and to work for His good purpose. As a management consultant, an executive coach and in some instances, member of the C-level team, I substantively help lead an early to mid-stage idea or company achieve phenomenal growth in revenue, profitability, and market share.
Purpose?
Lawrence was divinely invited to relocate from Boston to Houston in 2004 because only 3 years earlier, he had a ticket and an aisle seat on American Airlines Flight 11. This was the first plane that crashed into the World Trade Center in New York City at 8:46AM on September 11th . May the soul of his boss at that time, Judy Larocque, and the other 91 passengers, rest in peace. Only a few weeks earlier did she decide to step in his place and attend the business conference in Los Angeles. With some purpose in mind, God knew that one day you would read this and ponder what’s next.
Expertise
Lawrence has more than 30 years of experience in developing and executing corporate strategy and business plans in over 70 product and service categories in 22 industries across 41 countries.
His eleven years with AspenTech (NASDAQ; AZPN) was among his most impactful tenures as a senior operating executive. His core assignment was leading worldwide operations and the company’s growth from $2MM to $31MM over 8 years. Then, in another role, he was integral to the planning and pursuit of $100MM in annual revenue. After acquiring more than 20 companies and taking the company public, Aspen will achieve close to $1Billion in 2022 revenues.
Similarly, as inaugural CEO and Board Director, Lawrence joined two world-renown physicians at Massachusetts General Brigham Hospital in Boston to develop a U.S patented method for accessing medical experts around the globe. This service model resulted in nearly instantaneous engagement with local physicians and specialists in dozens of countries to confirm a difficult medical diagnosis. Often, that was with an expert in another country with ground-breaking research and expertise. InterconsultationTM soon became Best Doctors. The result was an international company with over $100MM in annual revenue that merged with Teledoc Health. They are a healthcare services and technology conglomerate, now trending $600MM in annual revenue.
These 2 assignments offered Lawrence some lifestyle flexibility to take on a senior role to lead the repositioning and statewide growth of a non-profit, women’s health care ministry in Houston, TX. Known as The Source for Women, they had three clinics in Houston.
After some time as Board Chairman, he was recruited to become the Chief Executive Officer. Under Lawrence’s leadership, the organization developed and implemented a 5 Year Growth Plan (“5YGP”) to expand locally in Houston, do the same in other surrounding cities and eventually have a statewide footprint.
Today, The Source has 2 clinics in Houston, 1 in the Texas state capital, Austin, and a virtual infrastructure serving women in multiple cities throughout Texas. As has often been Lawrence’s theme, the model has the potential for national and international expansion.
Significance!
Lawrence has attended The Church Without Walls (TCWW) in Houston for 18 years. He is a licensed minister (state of Texas) and a leader in ministries for men, discipleship, evangelism, preaching and faith in the marketplace. He graduated from Harvard College and Harvard Business School (MBA). He and his wife Sharon are blessed with 3 daughters, 1 son and 7 grandchildren.
